DirectPings
Privacy policy
Last updated October 26, 2026
This policy describes how DirectPings handles information when you use the mobile app and this website. It covers the reminders you create, the journal you keep, and the schedule and checklist you leave visible.
Who we are
DirectPings is the product at https://directpings.com. The application and this website are developed by Ete-services in Batroun, Lebanon. Privacy requests go to privacy@directpings.com.
Information you put into DirectPings
Depending on how you use the app, that can include:
- Account details you use to sign in.
- Reminders you create: titles, descriptions, images, alert choices, and whether a ping is once, scheduled, or recurring.
- The dates, times, time zone, and repeat rules for those pings.
- Journal entries you write.
- Schedule, todo, and checklist items.
- Messages you send us for support, privacy, or safety.
Information used to deliver a ping
To place an alert on your phone, the app uses a device token or a similar identifier from the phone notification service. We also use basic technical details such as app version, device type, and language so the service can run and so failures can be fixed. Your time zone is used so a scheduled ping arrives at the time you chose.
How we use information
We use this information to:
- Store your reminders, journal, schedule, and checklist.
- Deliver once, scheduled, and recurring pings to your phone.
- Show images, titles, descriptions, and alerts with those pings.
- Keep the service reliable and respond when you contact us.
- Investigate reports under the child safety standards.
We do not sell your personal information.
Images
An image you attach to a ping is stored so it can appear with that notification and inside the app. It is used for that purpose, and you can delete it with the ping.
Sharing
We share information with providers that host DirectPings and deliver notifications, only so the service can function. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to respond to a valid request from a public authority. We may share information needed to act on a child-safety report, as described on the child safety page.
Retention
We keep account content while your account is open. When you delete a reminder, journal entry, image, or checklist item, we delete it from the active service. If you close your account, we delete or de-identify the personal content associated with it, except where a legal duty, a safety report, or an unresolved dispute requires us to keep a record.
Security
We protect the service with access controls and encrypted connections. No method of storage or transmission is perfect, and we cannot promise absolute security.
Your choices
You can edit or delete reminders, journal entries, images, and checklist items in the app. You can turn alerts off in the app and in your phone settings. You can ask for access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by emailing privacy@directpings.com.
Children
DirectPings is a general productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it. Read the child safety standards.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
